As a professional photographer I am asked all the time where are the best family photo locations in Katy, Texas. I have lots of favourites in and around Katy, Texas and further afield. However, sometimes a session is more personal to you if you have spent time there as a family – so I am always open to new locations. I love locations that give variety, I love to have options!
So you have booked your session, and then you get to choose a gorgeous location. I have some ideas below!

Family Photo Locations in Katy, Texas.
The Rice Silos
Classic Katy Texas. The Rice Silos – these are great if you are looking for something less green! And it has easy parking, and gives a more edgy look to your photographs.
Katy Heritage Museum
Not far away in Old Katy is the beautiful Heritage Museum. It has old fashioned houses, a band stand and over Christmas a Christmas Tree! Whats not to love! It also has convenient parking and an area that can be used for some photos that don’t feature the buildings, so we get in that variety that I love! Cullen Park
A little closer to Houston we have Cullen Park, which has gorgeous parks, trails and scenery! This is an ideal location if you live in Houston.
Cinco Ranch Lake House
In Cinco Ranch we have the Lake House, which has a wooded area, lake and a beautiful walking trail. It also has convenient parking, but can get busy when the weather is nice.
Mary Joe Peckham park
Mary Joe Peckham Park. Has a lovely lake and shorter walking trail. It is in Old Katy, it has a brilliant play park for the kids after the session.
Cross Creek
Cross Creek, is actually in Fulshear, but easily accessible from Katy. Beautiful area with loads of variety. Greenery, lakes, walking paths and parks. Find more information here.
