Things to do in Houston with kids. Houston is an amazing city to visit, and there are so many things to do here, so I have collated my top picks to keep your kids entertained.
Kids will love the paintings, and adults will love discovering new artists. There are over 90 to see, and you can charter a bus to take you round a selection of them. Find a map of them here.
Enjoy the waterway in the woodlands, here you can walk or hire a bike to explore. And if you stay into the evening there is a light and water show choreographed to music. Find more information here.

Hermann Park offers a great way to spend the day. Art in the park is worth strolling around, and the Japanese gardens are lovely to explore. Find more information here.
Brazos Bend State Park, is home to hundreds of alligators, see if you can spot some while you visit. You can also fish, hike and go goecaching in the park. Due to COVID restrictions you do have to book to visit. Find details here.

Space Center Houston. Take a journey into outer space, kids and adult alike will enjoy the experience of the space center. More details can be found here.

The Houston Tunnels cover 95 blocks in downtown Houston. They enable people to travel all over the area without having to go out into the Texas heat. Houston Children’s Museum is a great day out for kids, and it is out of the heat. Kids of all ages can find fun and educational activities under one roof. Details can be found here.
