Start your family photo adventure by filling out a simple online form. Once you reach out, I'll get back to you promptly so we can chat about potential dates and fantastic location ideas. This is the perfect time to share your vision and start dreaming up your ideal session!

After we've settled on the specifics, I'll send you a comprehensive questionnaire to learn more about you and your family. This helps me tailor the session to reflect your family’s personality perfectly. Alongside the questionnaire, you'll receive a contract and a booking proposal to ensure everything is crystal-clear and agreed upon.
Once you've signed the contract and made the initial payment, you’ll receive a confirmation email from me. This email includes a handy session guide that covers all you need to know to prepare for the big day. And of course, if you have any questions as you get ready, I'm just a message away—always here to help!

Now for the fun part! Our session will be relaxed and enjoyable, focusing on capturing genuine moments that showcase your family’s unique dynamic. We'll laugh, maybe even dance a little, and create unforgettable memories together.

After our session, you’ll receive access to a beautifully curated online gallery. Take your time swooning over the images and select the 5 included in your package. Feel like you need more? No problem! You have the option to upgrade and choose additional images, and don’t forget to check out our high-quality print products that you’ll love to display in your home.

Let's get your date on my calendar! A non-refundable session fee will cover session preparation (outfit guidance, locations, etc), my time photographing and editing your session, and secures your date on my calendar! Everyone else is turned away for that date and time. Woo!!

Most sessions take place outdoors, or in client homes but we do have his option for clients who would like it. The studio is in Richmond Texas, around 15 minutes from Katy.

The decision to purchase products is handled after your session, and it's 100% optional, but you can certainly add an album now. I want you seeing your photographs before you commit to making a decision to purchase a certain number of prints and wall art. It's an investment, and it's one I want you feeling 110% excited about.
The decision to add digitals will take place after the session and once you have seen your full gallery.

I came across Claire’s Business page on Facebook and immediately booked her for a family session. She was so easy to work with and understood what we were looking for out of the session. We have a 16 month baby so I was really nervous about how our baby will respond to her but our baby adjusted quickly and Claire captured her bubbly personality and bright smiles perfectly. Claire did a wonderful job capturing our large family! She communicated with me super well throughout the process and was friendly and professional. Claire was very prepared and calm throughout the photo shoot. She handled all the different poses and individual family shots we wanted with ease. I have two young children (one of whom was having a very hard time during the shoot) and Claire was patient and still managed to get the pictures we wanted despite the toddler meltdowns. Claire got us our photo gallery really quickly too. Photos turned out even better than expected. Definitely recommend Claire Thom if you’re looking for amazing photos and a seamless process.

The best of the best! I was late to the game booking Christmas card photos this year and Claire was able to accommodate me within the week. She was so genuine and sweet and captured my family so authentically. I have an almost 1 year old son and she was so great with him. She got lots of pics very quickly so we finished before he got restless. I got my gallery in half the time she quoted me which was the best surprise. I couldn’t pick a favorite because all of the photos were so amazing!

I scheduled to have pictures taken but focus on my daughters and their grandparents. The day arrives and it is forecasted to rain at the scheduled time but Claire was very flexible and accommodating. Not to mention how patient she was with us wanting to include our newest addition, 2month old gsp, who doesn't listen very well yet. The turnaround time on images was perfect and the pictures were beautiful. I highly recommend Claire for all family sessions!

I just received our photos tonight from a recent shoot with Claire, and I may or may not have been tearing up going through them. They are SO special and impressive. My husband and I were initially planning to purchase only a few extra from our package, but after seeing the shots Claire captured, we didn’t even hesitate to invest in the full gallery. We have a 3 year old and a newly-walking 10 month old and the experience could not have been more relaxed, stress free, and enjoyable.
I have worked with a few other photographers with and without our kiddos in tow, and in all of my experiences (which have all been good!) I don’t know that I’ve ever been so impressed with the entirety of the outcome, image to image.
I am really looking forward to hopefully working with Claire in the future to capture memories of our family as my little ones grow up, she has earned a loyal customer in us, and I cannot recommend her enough.

Common FAQs
Q: what if i have never had family photos taken before?
A: You are in the right place, I would be delighted to guide you through the process, and I am here for you every step of the way.
Q: yikes - i just don't think i can spend that right now! Do you offer a payment plan?
A: I do offer a payment plan, and would be happy to provide more details. Just drop me an email claire@clairethomphotography.com
Q: I don't think i have time for this!
A: I get it, your busy! But I can assure you that this process doesn't have to be a long and complicated one! I can guide you through and make it as quick and painless as possible.
Q: How far in advance should i book?
A: To ensure I have the day and time you are looking for I would advise you to book at least 2 months before the session. Spring and Fall are the busiest times, so if you are looking for a session then, i would suggest 4 months before.
Q: Do you travel for sessions?
A: I do travel for sessions, anything over 30 miles from my home in Fulshear Texas does incur a travel fee. But don't hesitate to contact me to discuss.
